Exceptionally fine audio and Bono plays some guitar to the hometown audience, too. Great performance.

Every year, that “Pavement reunion” rumor comes around, and every year it’s a load of hooey, right? Right. Until now. Because this time it’s true. Via an exclusive Rolling Stone interview, in a late-night call from Australia, Pavement guitarist Scott “Spiral Stairs” Kannberg confirms that the Nineties’ finest indie rockers are finally going back to those gold soundz. “It’s been a long time coming,” Kannberg says. “I think in the back of our minds, we always thought we’d do something again. But we never really talked about it until the last couple of months. It’s come together fast.”
Rolling Stone is proud to premiere the video for Thom Yorke’s cover of “All For the Best” from the upcoming tribute disc Ciao My Shining Star: The Songs of Mark Mulcahy. Directed by Melinda Tupling, the video is a David Lynch-like odyssey that fits perfectly with Yorke’s stirring, Erasered rendition of the Miracle Legion song. The song is also noteworthy because it features the first time the Radiohead frontman and his brother Andy Yorke, lead singer for the Unbelievable Truth, have appeared together on a song, with Andy’s background vocals complimenting his big bro’s trademark croon.

When I launched Kurt's Alt Music Repository on August 5, 2009, it was an effort to simply catalog my favorite live video performances from the alternative music genre spanning the period from the 1970s to today. KAMR now hosts over fifty such videos and has enjoyed many more visitors than I expected.
But, the initial focus of KAMR was too narrow. I discovered that I was sharing much more music info, beyond just live video performances, at FriendFeed, Facebook and Twitter, which really belonged here, first. So, starting now, KAMR will feature not only excellent live performances on video, but video debuts, audio tracks, music news and concert information from some of the best alternative bands and performers anywhere.
If you like what you see and hear, you may subscribe to a once daily email which you will only receive when new content is added at KAMR.
Also, you may contact me if you there's something special you'd like to see or hear at KAMR.
Thanks for listening.
Below is the scoop on this song, from: http://burnhamthorpewest.com/8.html
“Contrecoup”
This song came about when John L was challenged to write a song containing the nearly obsolescent words contrecoup, craniosophic, and limerent. (He also threw in phrenology for good measure.) The result? Another excellent TMBG production with an early-days flavour.
From the 1981 album Of Skins And Heart.
The Church's debut album, Of Skins and Heart (1981), earned them their first radio hit "The Unguarded Moment." They were signed to major labels in Australia, Europe and the U.S. However, the U.S. label was dissatisfied with their second album and dropped the band without releasing the album. This put a dent in their commercial success, but they made a comeback in 1988, with the album Starfish and the American Top 40 hit "Under the Milky Way."

The video is not exceptional, but the audio track is decent. I actually didn't know The Feelies were still making music, and was quite pleased to discover this.
